Our design and delivery of Gatwick Diamond Offices based in Crawley for Surrey County Council, revives a former brownfield site with a new brief of commercial, retail and restaurant accommodation.
The proposal, which was awarded the LABC Regional Building Excellence Awards in 2017, successfully translates the brief into a contemporary and materially expressive building which stands out against the low rise suburban backdrop.
Externally, the entrance is defined by a generous, quadruple height lobby with full height glazing.

A framing system wraps around the perimeter of the building, providing support for the louvres that act as Brises Soleil.

This reduces solar heat gain and direct sunlight into the workspaces, creating an optimal indoor climate.
