Vanguard Portsmouth – Planning approval

By Josh Kabát-Rigelsford

Continuing with our ongoing trend of re-imagining the perception of what a storage facility may look like we are pleased to announce that today Vanguard gained unanimous support in favour of our inspired facility for the City Of Portsmouth.

This building will sit proudly as a new landmark for the city, showcasing  a Sea Harrier Jump Jet as a symbol of the city’s maritime heritage. This site was particularly challenging as it neighbours a Conservation Area which was home to the birth place of Charles Dickens, but working with Portsmouth and their Heritage Officer we were able to produce a scheme and material palette that suited the ambition of the client whilst respecting its context.
